Brazil is one of the world's major automobile producers and consumer markets. With the development of the Brazilian automotive manufacturing industry, the demand for automotive components continues to grow, providing ample opportunities for both locally produced and imported products. Despite the presence of many local component manufacturers, Brazil heavily relies on imports, particularly for high-tech and high-value-added components such as engine systems, offering new opportunities for international suppliers.
On March 28, 2022, INMETRO issued Ordinance No. 145, also known as the Automotive Components Ordinance 145/2022, which consolidates various component regulations and updates labeling requirements for automotive components. This ordinance officially came into effect on May 2, 2022.
Recently, DEKRA conducted a factory audit, sampling, and testing of Ningbo Rocket Automobile Parts Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as " Ningbo Rocket") based on the relevant regulations. The results indicated that its fuel pump (C-type gasoline) product complies with Brazilian standards. DEKRA has also issued an INMETRO Certificate of Conformity for automotive parts to Ningbo Rocket's importer in Brazil, DWL (DWL Consultoria em Qualidade).
As a company specializing in the research, development, manufacturing, and sales of automotive fuel pump assemblies, Ningbo Rocket boasts a team with the capability for synchronized development with vehicle manufacturers, highly automated equipment manufacturing, and international standard management.
DEKRA is an INMETRO-authorized certification body (Certification Body Code: OCP0089). To successfully enter the Brazilian market, enterprises must ensure their products meet local laws, regulations, and standards. Understanding the processes and requirements of INMETRO certification helps companies achieve certification smoothly, enhance product competitiveness, and secure success in the Brazilian market.
